In this day and age, there are so many beauty treatments available. From the inexpensive to the super pricey, it can be a bit overwhelming navigating to find what works best for you. Since I have been trying new procedures over the last few years, I wanted to make a list of what I couldn’t live without. Here are 4 beauty treatments worth the investment!
Your eyebrows frame your entire face, that is why it is so important to get them shaped by a professional. They will be able to determine the proper length, shape and arch for your face. When I first started getting my eyebrows done, they were a complete mess. It took several months to get them looking their best.
There are a few different ways that you can get your brows shaped. Waxing and threading are the most popular. Since I use retinol on my skin, I opt for threading. This process is better for sensitive skin and it tends to last longer. The cost is pretty low, around $30. To keep your brows looking fresh, you should schedule appointments every 4-6 weeks.
Lash Lift and Tint
I must admit, I was very skeptical when scheduling my appointment for my first Lash Lift. My eyelashes are long and naturally stick straight down. In order to get them to curl, I would need to curl them several times before and after apply mascara. Ultimately, this was damaging my lashes and even ripping them out from over curling.
Since curling my lashes was taking such a toll, I decided to investigate getting a Lash Lift. After a bit of research I found that my favorite local beauty boutique, Woo, actually did this procedure. All in all the lift and tint takes about 20-30 minutes and costs $170. Both last 6-8 weeks depending on your “lash cycle.” Now that I have been getting this done, not only does it save me a lot of time, my lashes look healthier than ever! Plus, the lash tint gives the appearance of mascara even when I am not wearing any!
I have mentioned dermaplaning before and it remains one of my all-time favorite skincare procedures! A razor is used to exfoliate and remove hair and dead skin cells from your face, leaving you with a bright, smoother appearance. It also allows your skincare products to absorbs better into your skin and even your makeup with apply more evenly. I would also like to add that it makes your skin super soft!!!!
A few years ago, I started getting chemical peels on a regular basis. I wanted to start preventing the signs of aging while combating my acne at the same time. I have been thrilled with the results! Truthfully, I give all of the credit to my skincare guru, Carla! She will look at my skin to access the type of peel that I need for that day. Taking into account the time of year, my time of the month and if I have any big events in the future.
The outcome of a good chemical peel is to brighten and refreshen the skin. Chemical peels can range in price. I usually pay around $75 but I know that they can increase in price. I believe that the key is to find a good aesthetician that you trust and understands your skincare goals. They will be able to guide you through the different levels and types of chemical peels to find what is best for you.
Without a doubt, these are the treatments that I could not do without! Although I believe in the benefits of these treatments, I also believe that it is essential to go to someone you trust. They will know your preferences and will be able to deliver a superior service.
